Kellerbier / Zwickelbier
Kellerbier is an ancient, rare and unique German beer that dates back to the Middle Ages. It is an unfiltered, unpasteurized lager brewed in deep cellars without a tight lid, exposing the beer to air. The result is a smooth, naturally cloudy beer rich in yeast vitamins. The bitterness from the hops can be quite high, and the alcohol content varies. Zwickelbier is a lighter, less full-bodied variation of Kellerbier.
