BEER STYLE
Foreign / Export Stout
A special variation of Stout, brewed stronger to withstand long journeys. Traditionally, this style is associated with the tropics. It has a higher alcohol content, with prominent roasted malt flavours, reminiscent of coffee, chocolate or lightly burnt nuts, but not too harsh. The body is medium dry, low to medium ester, medium to high bitterness. The hop aroma is non-existent to mild, and can be herbal, earthy or floral, but always gives way to a rich roasted malt character.
