Robust Porter

Robust Porter is a fuller version of Brown Porter, with roasted malt flavors and more pronounced bitterness, but still lighter than Stout. Characterized by roasted malt flavors reminiscent of cocoa, without the burnt taste of roasted barley. Caramel and malt sweetness are well balanced with sharp bitterness from black malt and hops. Distinct hop bitterness. With the constant innovation of American brewers, the line between Porter and Stout is increasingly blurred, but there are still many well-defined versions. Very low levels of diacetyl are acceptable.
