Eisbock is a very strong beer (over 7% ABV), created using a freezing technique to concentrate alcohol and sugar. The beer is dark black to reddish brown in color, with almost no hop bitterness, instead it has a prominent alcoholic taste, rich sweetness, slight spiciness or fruity aroma. The beer body is very thick, almost syrupy, with a rich malt aroma.
