In a world of beer filled with perfectly filtered versions, there is one beer that dares to break all the rules to return to its most original version. Unfiltered Double Barrel Ale not pleasing people with pure appearance, but charming with its own liberal personality - where the opaque glaze becomes the most sincere confession about the beauty of imperfection.
From old whisky oak barrels in Paso Robles, California, this beer tells the story of a delicate fusion between the art of classic British brewing and the free spirit of the American West. Each drop of this amber beer is a blend of the warm sunshine on the barley fields, the breath of the soil from the Fuggles hops, and the warm embrace of the passionate caramel.
This is not a beer to be drunk in a hurry – but a masterpiece for those moments we want to hold on to, when time slows down to feel each layer of flavor awakening on the tip of the tongue. Unfiltered DBA is a testament to the philosophy that sometimes, simple honesty touches the heart more deeply than any polish.
1. Firestone Walker History: Journey From Oak Barrel Dreams
Year 1996, When Adam Firestone and David Walker Let's raise a glass to a starry night in Paso Robles, California, perhaps they did not expect that small dream would become a legend. From the small craft brewery like a horse carriage, they launched Double Barrel Ale (DBA) - the first beer bottle imbued with the aroma of whiskey oak, as a whisper of the Firestone family tradition.
Then year 2001, laughter and the smell of beer spread everywhere Paso Robles when the new brewery expanded, containing countless passions. But it was not until 2013 that the world was truly moved when Unfiltered DBA was born – like a more liberal, more passionate love song from that first beer. The sparkling GABF (Great American Beer Festival) gold medals since then, not only as awards, but also as passionate kisses from beer lovers.

2. Unfiltered Double Barrel Ale: When the Purest Flavors Are Let Go With the Yeast
Year 2013, Unfiltered DBA born as a tribute to the Double Barrel Ale – the first child of the year. But unlike the traditional DBA, this version is unfiltered, leaving behind natural layers of yeast, like a watercolor painting with its original sketches.
It is said that the artisans at Firestone Walker wants to retain the “wild soul” in every drop of beer – where the warm caramel aroma blends with the vanilla oak flavor from old whisky barrels. The technique of combining wooden barrels is still the same, but this time, everything becomes more liberal and irregular. Like a disruptive artist, Unfiltered DBA is not afraid to leave a bit of opaque yeast residue – a mark of honesty, of things that do not need to be hidden.
And so, every sip of beer becomes adventure – when the taste buds touch things most original, like the first time Adam and David tasted a batch of beer brewed in their backyard…
