Each golden drop is a story that never gets old, inviting us to turn each page of emotion through slow, thoughtful sips.
1. History of Passion Flow: The Liefmans' Journey
There are stories written not only in ink, but also in the flavor of time. Liefmans is such an epic, starting in the year 1679 in the idyllic Belgian town of Oudenaarde. Although the first brewers’ breath may have been heard long before, that milestone remains the beginning of a legend, where naturally fermented red and brown beers have become a sweet song that has resonated for three centuries.
But even the greatest symphonies sometimes go off-key. 90s, a financial storm hit, pushing this giant to the brink of collapse. A bankruptcy in 1990 seemed to close the fairy tale. But fate still played its part, when the Riva NV group opened its arms in 1991, keeping the flame of passion never extinguished.

And then, the ups and downs continued. Until the year 2008, once again, the doors of the Oudenaarde brewery closed in regret. But perhaps, the flavors were so deeply ingrained in the soul of the land, that it could not disappear. A miracle called Duvel Moortgat appeared in 2010, reviving the Liefmans brand, bringing a brilliant turning point. Now, although no longer brewed in the heart of the old city, every drop of beer is produced with absolute respect for the traditional recipe, to fully preserve the soul of history.
