Goose This is one of Germany's most unique beer styles, combining mild acidity, coriander, and subtle saltiness in a single glass. The style originated in the town of Goslar before becoming an icon of Leipzig for centuries.
Interestingly, the characteristic mild saltiness of Gose originally came from the naturally salt-rich mineral water of the Goslar region. Later, brewers began adding salt and coriander to preserve the signature character of the style. At one point, Gose almost completely disappeared in the 20th century before being strongly revived by the craft beer revival.
Beer has color pale straw yellow to bright yellow, with Notes of lemon, citrus, coriander, wheat bread, and a light minerality.. With its light body, high carbonation, and incredibly refreshing sour and salty aftertaste, Gose has become one of the most popular sour beers in the modern world.
