Bière de Champagne, or Bière Brut, is a distinctive Belgian beer style, notable for its fermentation and aging process similar to that of Champagne. The beer is often re-fermented in the bottle and undergoes a remuage and dégorgement process, similar to the technique used in making sparkling wine.
Thanks to this method, the beer has a very high carbonation level, a very dry taste, and an extremely delicate feel. The flavor is usually light with notes of fruit, bread, and sometimes has a hint of sparkling wine.
Bière Brut is often considered a premium and luxurious beer, usually served in a champagne glass and suitable for special occasions.
