1. History of Victory Brewing Company – The Journey From A Bus To A Hundred Thousand Meters Of Dream Beer

If someone asks: “What started a legend?” — perhaps, in the story of Victory Brewing Company, the answer is surprisingly simple: a bus trip, and school friendship.

In 1973, two boys, Bill Covaleski and Ron Barchet, sat next to each other on the bus to elementary school. In the midst of their innocent conversations, no one would have guessed that they would later breathe life into barrels of beer, creating one of the most famous names in the world. American craft beer village. That friendship grew over the years, filled with times brewing homebrew together in the garage, then crossing oceans to Munich, studied at a prestigious school Doemens Institute — the cradle of classic German brewing art.

Then one day in early 1996, in the idyllic town of Downingtown, Pennsylvania, they knocked on the door of an old factory that used to be the bakery of Pepperidge Farm. There, Victory Brewing was born, carrying with it the promise of dedication, creativity and friendship. February of that year, the first taproom opened, with only 144 seats, but filled with ambitions that far exceeded all numbers. Each glass of beer poured was a slice of memory, the result of a journey forged with sweat and passion.

As time passed, the glasses kept being raised. Year 2008, Victory expanded the restaurant and upgraded its equipment, ready for a major transformation. A year later, Downingtown’s capacity reached 100,000 barrels – as if those little dreams were coming to life, exploding. In 2013, an even more modern plant opened in Parkesburg, increasing production to 200,000 barrels, preparing to take Victory far beyond the Pennsylvania border.

Not only did Victory expand, but they also opened their hearts. In 2016, they joined hands with Southern Tier under the same roof. Artisanal Brewing Ventures, and then in 2021 – on the occasion of their 25th anniversary – they opened a taproom right in Philadelphia, as an affirmation that this journey has not stopped.

From headquarters at 420 Acorn Lane, Downingtown, Victory now has taprooms in Parkesburg, Kennett Square, Philadelphia, and Charlotte, serving as touch points for the beer-loving community. By 2024, they will have distributed to over 30 states and 9 countries – a living testament to how friendship, if sincere and passionate enough, can ferment and become a renowned brand.

Amidst the age-old beer styles, where mysterious stouts and rich IPAs rise like yeasty epics, Kirsch Gose entered the scene like a different note - gentle, salty, and strangely seductive.

Kirsch Gose carries the soul of Goose, a traditional beer from Leipzig, Germany, is famous for its light sourness and slight saltiness, like a country breeze blowing on your lips after a long, hot day. But the most special thing about Kirsch Gose is the way it “plays” with cherries, making each drop of beer seem to contain a passionate summer heart beating in the glass.

This is one Hybrid Ale, a daring blend of two worlds – the lightness of wheat beer and the depth of sour beer. The fermentation process remains faithful to the ale yeast (top-fermented), but is breathed life into by lactic fermentation, giving each sip of the beer a gentle sourness, like a fleeting smile in the memory of the first season of love.

3. Characteristics: Flavor, Color and Texture of Kirsch Gose
